Link ReptiDex to the GSGC

Workflow overview

Follow these steps in ReptiDex. Controls may vary by platform.

  1. Start in the GSGC member portal
  2. Approve a ReptiDex collection
  3. Confirm the connection

Gold Standard Gecko Club (GSGC) members can connect a ReptiDex collection to their Breed Ledger showcase. The connection starts in the GSGC or Breed Ledger member experience, then asks you to approve access in ReptiDex. You choose which collection to link. Only public animals eligible for the showcase are shared; Private and Lineage Only animals are excluded.

Before you connect

Sign in to the ReptiDex account that owns the collection you want to show. Make sure the collection exists and that the animals you intend to feature have Public visibility. Open each public profile first to check its photo, identity, and published details. A private animal will not become public because you connect the accounts. If you manage several collections, decide which one belongs in the GSGC showcase before you start.

Start from GSGC

Open the GSGC member portal, follow its Breed Ledger connection path, and choose Connect ReptiDex. If you are not signed into ReptiDex, finish sign-in and return to the connection flow. ReptiDex then shows a Connect to Breed Ledger approval screen. Review the account shown, choose the correct collection when offered, and read what will be shared. Select Approve to complete the connection or Deny to leave it unlinked. The ReptiDex Settings screen shows status but does not start a new connection; begin again from the partner portal if you need to retry.

Approve the connection

Confirm what is shared

In ReptiDex, open Settings > Breed Ledger (the Integrations area) and look for Connected. The connection shares eligible public animal details with the Breed Ledger showcase and keeps them in sync. It does not share Private or Lineage Only animals. Check the partner showcase as well, allowing for normal sync time. If an expected animal is absent, verify its visibility, the collection chosen during approval, and its public profile before reconnecting.

Disconnect or recover

Use Disconnect in the Breed Ledger settings card to stop further syncing. Disconnecting does not change an animal's ReptiDex visibility. To reconnect later, return to the partner portal and run Connect ReptiDex again. If the approval page says no collection is available, create or select one in ReptiDex first. If a connection link has expired or failed, restart from GSGC or Breed Ledger rather than reusing the old link. Contact support with the screen and error you saw if the connection still cannot complete; never send passwords or connection links.
