How to Use Bulk Actions
Opening each animal one by one to make the same update is the fastest way to waste a Sunday after a sale weekend or a clutch hatch. This guide shows you how to use bulk actions in ReptiDex to update multiple animals at once from the Animals list or from a Group.
Bulk actions let you update multiple animals at once without opening each record individually. ReptiDex supports bulk actions from the Animals list and from Groups.
Bulk Actions from the Animals List
Entering select mode
Web: Click Select in the top right of the Animals list. Checkboxes appear on each animal card. Click animals to select them, or click Select All to grab everything visible. A bulk action bar appears at the bottom of the screen once at least one animal is selected.
Mobile: Long press any animal in the list to enter select mode. Checkboxes appear on each row. Tap animals to add them to the selection, or tap Select All in the header bar.
Available bulk actions

| Change Status | Update all selected animals to a new status (Active, Sold, Holdback, etc.) |
| Visibility | Change the public profile visibility for all selected animals |
| Weight | Open bulk weight entry for the selected animals |
| Delete | Permanently delete all selected animals |
Bulk Actions from Groups
Groups offer bulk actions scoped to the animals in that group. Expand a group on web or open the group detail on mobile to access them.

Tips
- Combine filters with Select All for precise bulk operations. Filter by status or species first, then select all to act only on that subset.
- Bulk weight entry skips any animal whose field you leave blank -- no need to enter anything for animals you're not weighing.
- Use bulk status update to mark a whole clutch as Sold at once after a sale weekend.
- The Delete action is permanent. Double-check your selection before confirming.
