Enclosures, Tasks, and Reminders

Workflow overview

Follow these steps in ReptiDex. Controls may vary by platform.

  1. Connect an enclosure
  2. Schedule care work
  3. Review Today

Use Enclosures to keep habitat details alongside the animals that live there. Record the environment information available in your account and review it when you make husbandry changes.

Keep habitat context with the animal

Use Enclosures to record the habitat or location used by an animal. Review which animals are associated with it before updating a shared enclosure. Add the environment details and observations your account supports so you can compare husbandry changes with feeding, shed, and weight history. A group is an organizing set of animals; an enclosure is the habitat record. They may reflect the same rack or room, but they serve different purposes.

Schedule care work

Open Tasks to create a recurring or one-time care task for the right collection, animal, or group target. Give it a clear title and schedule, then save. There is no direct enclosure target in the task form; choose the associated animal or collection for enclosure work. The task list lets you review active work and change or pause a task when the routine changes. On Today, Care Tasks Due shows work that needs attention. Mark a task Done after completing it. A task completion is its own history; if you also fed or weighed an animal, log that event in the corresponding care form.

Find and adjust reminders

The Today screen can also surface environment checks and other due work, while Settings > Notifications controls available prompts. If a task does not show as expected, check its schedule, target, active state, and the current collection. If you are seeing too many prompts, adjust the task schedule and notification settings separately. Disabling a device notification does not delete a task or its history. Use care guides for general habitat reference, but record your own measurements and observations on the relevant records.
