Crested Gecko morph
Crested Gecko (Correlophus ciliatus)
Incomplete dominant; pattern color significantly reduced on dorsum
Reduces or eliminates dorsal/back pattern coloring while retaining pattern structure on sides. Heterozygous shows moderate pattern reduction on back; homozygous shows extensive back clearing. Antagonistic with Harlequin (overcomes concentration).
How to identify it: Empty Back animals show reduced/cleared dorsal pattern. Super Empty Back shows extensive clearing.
Empty Back follows a incomplete dominant inheritance pattern, carried on the Empty Back allele (locus EB).
Charcoal
Homozygous Axanthic (x/x) combined with Empty Back het (EB/+). Axanthic eliminates warm pigment while Empty Back reduces dorsal pattern, producing a clean charcoal-grey gecko with minimal patterning.
